The upper limit for specific skills by industry has been revised.

It has been decided that specific skills will be reviewed on August 30, 2022.
The total number of 345,000 people in the 12 target industries will remain unchanged, but the number of people accepted in two industries, food manufacturing and manufacturing, will increase.


Enrollment in the food manufacturing industry will increase from 34,000 to 87,200. Manufacturing employment will increase from 31,450 to 49,750. In contrast, the upper limit for the lodging and restaurant industries, which continue to be in recession, will be significantly lowered.

Regarding the ``Technical Intern Training Program,'' it is said that ``there is a disconnect between the purpose of international contribution and the actual status of the system as a labor force to fill the shortage of human resources.'' Therefore, legal amendments are being considered.
